PURITO, new RES-kit from Holzmodellbau Schweiger
During the creation of the PURITO Jodef Schweiger's special intension was to make a model that meets the rules of R.E.S, a competition model that can be built by any pilot with avarage building skills and a model with outstanding flying characteristics and easy and forgiving handling. Due to the large wing area, the PURITO can clearly demonstrate its qualities, especially in weak thermal conditions and light winds. PURITO has an excellent response to rudder and elevator movements. It indicates even weakest thermal activities and has very forgiving behavior while circling.
The kit:
The wing is built with high quality CRP tube spars. The ribs are cut with small "feet" that fit in slots of the helling. Additionally, there are "comb-like" construction templates to temporally fix the ribs in the correct position. In the nose area of the wing, the CNC-milled ribs are mounted with a distance of only 12mm (1/2") to prevent the covering from collapsing. This construction detail improves the accuracy of the airfoil, causing a important inprovement of the flight performance.
Besides that, the open wing construction with the many ribs is a real eye-catcher for each model pilot.
The fuselage is built in an efficient mix of Balsa and plywood featuring an adjustable hook for high launch. A very lightweight and conical shaped CRP tube serves as tail boom. Rudder and elevator are constructed from CNC-milled balsa parts.
The kit includes special extremely lightweight bowden tubes combined with 0.8mm CRP rods for the linkage of rudder and elevator.
We recommend "ORACOVER light" (Ultracote Parklite) to cover the PURITO. (Not included)).
Necessary RC components:
- KST X08 as servo for rudder and elevator
- HEPF H47 as servo for the airbrakes
- Pichler LiPo battery 2S/600mAh or similar as power supply
- Small receiver of your choice (4 or more channels)
