Back to the roots? Now, after our 4-flap-models Climaxx and Climaxx Evo, the 6-flap-flagship Thermal Instinct, our speed models Impressivo and Impressivo Massimo, and now a glider without ailerons after all?
Well, without the new class R.E.S. - which means rudder, elevator and spoiler - the R.E.S.olution wouldn't exist. In the USA, R.E.S.-models and R.E.S.-contests exist for a long time already, the current R.E.S. wave is inspired by the very active Turkish contest-scene ... and we, as "CNC-wooden kits professionals", had been spurred on a new in-house development. As it is not certain at this point in time, if this class will be established in Germany or if it will be "endlessly discussed", the Heavenly wants to leave some personal lines below - independant of the fact, that the R.E.S.olution has been constructed for R.E.S.-contests, of course.
A beautiful and elegant wooden fuselage, 590g flying weight, 2 meters, 4 servos. Quickly mounted, high start rubber prepared, a powerful rubber launch with the "Bungee-Set HLG" (7.35 meters HLG-rubber tube, 10m aramid cord) from EMC-VEGA (www.emc-vega.de) up to a few meters of starting altitude ... and the fun begins! R.E.S.olution uses thermal lifts, which are not detectable for other models and due to it's agility it is able to circle smoothest thermal uplifts in the tightest way. Only the stout-hearted use of the surface mounted airbrakes saves from the compelling desire to climb higher and allows steep descents and landings in the narrowest spaces. In the second flight I share the thermal lift in 30 meters height with a red kite...and I have to admit defeat! Model flight can't be more relaxing. Then I tested the "launching set HLG 100", from www.emc-vega.de as well. This could become the standard set in the contest-scene. With 22m "Megarubber" rubber tube and the corresponding "Speedline"-cord release heights of about 100 meters are possible. For me personally this is nearly too easy, eventually thermal processes are created at ground level already ... After a few weeks of testing the prototype it looks like the R.E.S.olution will become my new "in-my-bag-wherever-I-go-model" and is a worthy and powerful successor of our legendary Swedish-made "Blue Phoenix", which had been sold for 25 years (!).
The basics for the development of our R.E.S.olution was the "Climaxx compact". With it's S-7012 profiled wings and it's "thermal-greed" in connection with the wide speed range it is hardly to surpass in the 2 meters-class. That is why we didn't want to develop anything new and went back to what has proven successfully. Therefore: ailerons out, dihedral and spoilers in. The construction of the two-part wing is as usual: the lasercut ribs are kind of "threaded" on a 10mm tubular spar. For the first time the trailing edge is made of contour milled plywood and the wingspan is adapted to the R.E.S.-regulations. A 6mm steel wire connects both parts of the wing. Our R.E.S.olution is, as most of the models of our CNC-kit range, a model “made in Germany”, of course. and manufactured by our main supplier Gruener-CNC. Besides the CNC-lasercut and laser-numbered parts made of balsa and plywood in our outstanding high precisely fitting quality you are used to, the R.E.S.olution-kit contains high quality linkages, screws, a launching hook and other fitting components (as, for example, CNC-milled GRP-control horns and spar connectors). The R.E.S.olution-kit includes a multicolored (!) construction plan and a fully 3D-illustrated German construction manual with detailed information about the center of gravity and rudder deflections. This construction manual is the best, which has ever been enclosed in our kits and need no fear to comparisons to other manufacturer's construction manuals. Glue, wiring and covering film (we recommend ORACOVER standard) are not included in the kit.
