Jodel D.9 BéBé, oldtimer kit, wingspan 2400mm
Aeronaut # 131200

The Jodel D.9 BéBé is an open cockpit single seater, constructed by Edouard Joly and Jean Delemontez of France. The prototype with the registration F-WEPF took to the air in January 1948, powered by a flat twin engine with an output of 18 kW.
The Ultra-light plane came to Germany in 1952 but did not receive an official permit until 1958. Several thousand planes of this type have been built worldwide, and many are still in use today.

The model was designed by Philipp Gardemin to a scale of 1:3. With its simple and sturdy construction the BéBé is a perfect sports flyer as well as a powerful tow plane. The three-piece-wing and the detachable main landing gear allow for easy handling and transport.
The stabilizer can also be removed in no time.

The airframe is all plywood, pine and balsa and the laser-cut parts allow for a rapid and enjoyable building process. The impressive model is very easy to fly and looks just like the real thing in the air.
The Jodel can be powered by IC engines from 20ccm or electric drives from 8S-LiPo or Li-Ion. The internet provides a wealth of information and designs for those, who want to customize their model beyond the kit version.

The kit contains:
  • A complete set of laser-cut plywood , balsa and pine bars
  • Plywood for wing sheeting
  • Laser-cut windscreen
  • Sprung main gear
  • Small parts
  • Detailed illustrated building instructions
